Brilliant. If I weren't skeered of sewing (which I kind of am, despite having even worked for a hatmaker for a summer, blocking and trimming and pinning and stitching linings... the fright comes from more screwing things up than anything else, as I am finicky and particular) I would make these all day long.

Oh my gosh. These are adorable. And, they seem easy enough that even I could make some! I'm really inept when it comes to sewing anything. Could I use a machine instead of hand sewing?

Hi found it easier to sew on the sprinkles before sewing the icing onto the donut or sewing the centre hole.

I'm not too dexterous with fiddly stuff and hope this helps someone else.

I just want to say thankyou for making a tutorial. I am new to sewing and need to start off with something simple. And these are the most delicious and delectable felt doughnuts I have seen so creative to use beads I will have to make some now!!

I know this post is old. But I have to tell you that I made your felt doughnuts. I was sewing them when I was at Firestone a few years ago. :) I had so many looks and laughs from the men, while I was waiting for my car to be fixed. While I was there I finished it and their jaws dropped. They asked if they could eat it.
So thank you again for posting this!

Can you tell us the sizes of your donut trace for the inner and outer circle thank you if somebody answers! lol.
